As a public sector organisation, it’s important that we shape our service to meet the needs of residents and businesses across Hampshire & Isle of Wight. To do this, we undertake public consultations to get feedback and views from the people who live and work in Hampshire & Isle of Wight.

Isle of Wight - May 2025

We invited people to comment on our proposed changes to the way the we operate on the Isle of Wight, to:

  • Align with our newly launched Safety Plan for 2025-30, and our commitment to make the best use of resources
  • Deliver high-quality services without compromising on safety
  • Contribute to our Service wide savings plan

We are currently analysing the feedback we have received, and once this has been presented to our Fire and Rescue Authority, we’ll update this page with the outcome of their decision.

Safety plan 2025-30 - Oct 2024

Our safety plan consultation ran from 9 October to 18 December, and in April 2025 we launched our new 2025-30 Safety Plan.

Community risk - 2023

In 2023 we asked for views from the public, our partners, community groups and colleagues to help us identify all foreseeable fire and rescue related risks in our communities. This information helped to inform our 2025-30 Safety Plan.
