Online formsA nationally recognised programme which offers young people aged 13 to 17 the opportunity to gain essential social, life, work and wellbeing skills, including a BTEC Level 2 qualification and develop their confidence and personal skills.
Fire Cadets provides fun and challenging opportunities for young people to reach their full potential contributing to safer, stronger and healthier communities. They meet for two hours, one evening per week at a local fire station, during school term time.
3SFire CIC have been able to provide the Fire Cadets with funding to support with the donation of training ladders, uniforms, helmets and epaulette sliders. 3SFire have also been able to support the volunteers with funding for Neurodiverse training specialising in ADHD and autism.
From firefighting drills, first aid training and getting to grips with using real firefighting equipment you’ll become part of the fire service family in your cadet uniform. You will represent the Service in your community and make new friends. You’ll learn lots of new skills like team working, communication and leadership and improve your health, fitness and general wellbeing.
With Fire Cadets you’ll gain confidence and boost your self-esteem, by knowing you are making a real difference in your local community, supporting social action projects and volunteering.
You will also build valuable application and interview skills and have great experience to add to your CV.
