High Sheriff Jacqueline Gazzard attended a Sandown Cadets session on Monday 10 November to present the Volunteer Instructors with their award, which they received for recognition of great and valuable services to the community.

The Isle of Wight High Sheriff Awards are a mark of distinction and recognition given to public servants, individual volunteers or community groups based on the Isle of Wight, who are making a significant contribution to their communities.

HIWFRS Fire Cadet Manager Clair Hayward said:

“Congratulations to our fantastic instructors! I nominated them as I’m so proud of the work they do and the difference they make to the lives of so many young people. I am delighted that they have received this recognition from outside the organisation for their hard work, commitment and dedication.”
