We invited people to comment on our proposed changes to the way the we operate on the Isle of Wight, to:

• Align with our newly launched Safety Plan for 2025-30, and our commitment to make the best use of resources
• Deliver high-quality services without compromising on safety
• Contribute to our Service wide savings plan

The proposed changes and the outcomes of the consultation were presented to our Fire and Rescue Authority for scrutiny on 29 August 2025.

Our safety plan consultation ran from 9 October to 18 December, and in April 2025 we launched our new 2025-30 Safety Plan.

In 2023 we asked for views from the public, our partners, community groups and colleagues to help us identify all foreseeable fire and rescue related risks in our communities. This information helped to inform our 2025-30 Safety Plan.
