Fridge-freezer involved in Havant flat blaze
Havant, Cosham and Portchester firefighters were called to a fire caused by a candle on top of a fridge-freezer in Little Hackets at 11:10.
Thick black smoke was issuing from the ground-floor property of the four-storey building as HIWFRS arrived.
The alarm was sounding in the flat involved in the fire, which the owner had exited and shut the fire doors behind her to contain the blaze.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one jet to extinguish the blaze, as well as using tactical ventilation fans to clear smoke from the premises.
HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 12:03.
