An exciting new national Education platform StayWise has been launched by the nation’s emergency services in partnership with a range of national charities, and our very own Susie the Childminder has been selected to feature on this free learning platform for pupils aged 3-11.
Launched as part of the popular Keeping Safe with Susie the Childminder series, Susie the Childminder and the Pandemic written by Donna Smith was published last July to teach children about the importance of community, building resilience, and staying safe, healthy, and positive during challenging times.
HFRS Education Manager Judy Rice said:
“StayWise is packed full of safety education resources for children and we’re thrilled that the latest Susie book has been selected to feature here as it means many more children can benefit from it. This remains a distressing and confusing time for children and we hope that the book will encourage them to talk about how they’re feeling and make sure they continue to feel comfortable asking questions.”
Don’t forget further teaching resources are available on the Home learning area of our website.
