Final presentations were held last week to celebrate the achievements of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service’s Prince’s Trust Teams Basingstoke 39 and Waterlooville 02.
On Tuesday 9 April families, friends, HIWFRS colleagues and dignitaries gathered together to mark the end of Prince’s Trust team Waterlooville 2’s journey on the 12-week Prince’s Trust team programme. During the ceremony team members gave individual speeches reflecting on the difference the 12-week course has made to their lives. All team members were then presented with certificates by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Nigel Atkinson, Esq. to mark their journey and success.

On Thursday 11 April, it was the turn of Basingstoke 39 team members to share memories of their 12-week journey with family, friends and HIWFRS colleagues. During the evening team members were presented with certificates by Deputy Lieutenant Clare Scheckter.

All presentations also included a video round-up of each team’s highlights during the 12- week programme, including a series of photos from their community projects and residential team building. Huge congratulations to all!
The next Teams programme starts on Tuesday 7 May at Waterlooville fire station. If you know of any young people who would benefit from the programme, please ask them to Email: princes-trust@hantsfire.gov.uk or text Team to 07918 887897 for more information.
