|17/09/2019 04:02||Firefighters called to refuse fire in Fareham||Firefighters were called in the early hours of the morning to a refuse fire at a Waste Transfer Site on Down End Road, Fareham.
Fire engines from Fareham, Cosham, Wickham, Southsea and further support vehicles were called to the scene at 04:02.
The blaze involved 100 tonnes of waste in an open fronted covered storage unit and was tackled with 19 sets of breathing apparatus, compressed air foam solution and hose reels.

|16/09/2019 23:55||City centre rooftop blaze tackled by firefighters||A fire broke out just before midnight yesterday in the roof space of a four-storey building on Oxford Street, Southampton.
Firefighters were called from St Mary’s, Redbridge, Hightown, Eastleigh, Lyndhurst, Cosham, Totton, and Botley, with specialist vehicles also required including the aerial ladder platform.
One casualty was treated by South Central Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.

|07/09/2019 19:03||80 Firefighters tackle thatched roof fire overnight, which destroys beautiful Hampshire home ||Fire Control was alerted to a two storey thatched roof fire on Beauworth Road, Alresford at 19:03. Unfortunately, the fire was rapidly taking hold and had spread to the entire roof space when the first crews arrived.
Residents of the property had evacuated and were in a place of safety.

|06/09/2019 05:27||Six engines called to blaze at Southampton dry cleaners||About 30 firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at an Ocean Village dry cleaners.
Crews attended from St Mary's, Redbridge, Hightown, Cosham and Eastleigh.
The blaze was on Floating Bridge Road, Southampton.
The fire broke out in a storage area and had spread to the roof space.
Crews used six sets of breathing apparatus, two jets, two hose reels, tactical ventilation and an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP).

|02/09/2019 16:39||Blaze at derelict former nursing home in Farnborough||More than 40 firefighters tackled a blaze at a derelict former nursing home.
Crews from Rushmoor, Basingstoke and Odiham tackled the flames with three engines from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.
Two Aerial Ladder Platforms (ALP) were also at the scene in Sorrel Close, Farnborough.
Crews used four jets and 12 sets of breathing apparatus.
The roof and first floor were severely damaged in the fire and the ground floor was also affected.

|02/09/2019 08:46||Fire at Marchwood waste centre||About 30 firefighters were called to a waste transfer centre in Marchwood this morning.
The fire, in Bury Road, was contained to a concrete bay and involved a large amount of bulky domestic waste.
Crews, from Redbridge, St Mary's, Beaulieu and Eastleigh, used three water jets and foam to tackle the blaze before damping down.
Three engines attended the incident with support vehicles including an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP), a water carrier and a command unit.

|19/08/2019 01:32||Early morning wake up call for family without working smoke alarms||Crews from Fareham and Eastleigh were called to Westminster Gardens in Fareham in the early hours of Monday morning to a fire in the ground floor of a house.
The fire appeared to have been started by a mobile phone charger. The smoke alarms were not working as they had no batteries and the families only way to escape would have been through the fire.

|15/08/2019 09:46||Chiquita the miniature horse rescued by firefighters from a concrete drain||Crews from Cosham, Winchester, Brockenhurst, Gosport, and the Eastleigh USAR Team were called to Purbrook Heath Road in Waterlooville when a miniature horse was found trapped in a 1.5m concrete drain.
The horse measured 9.2 hands and weighed approximately 250kg.
Equine vets and animal rescue experts also came to the scene to assist.
Chiquita was successfully lifted from the drain using an animal rescue harness and USAR manitou.

|09/08/2019 13:57||Firefighters remove two-foot snake from Aldershot woman's home||Crews were called to Heron Wood Road in Aldershot after a woman found a two-foot snake in a larder.
The species was found to be a grass snake and was removed by Animal Rescue Advisor Paul Rance, who is based at Lyndhurst, and the RSPCA.
This was carried out using snake sticks and a pillow case.
The reptile was released unharmed into woodland.

|05/08/2019 13:19||A terrace of four thatched properties involved in Sutton Scotney blaze||Multiple crews from across the county were called to a terrace of four thatched cottages with the roof well alight, on Stockbridge Road in Sutton Scotney.
On arrival crews found there was very heavy smoke coming from the roof.
Firefighters engaged in a salvage operation as well as fighting the fire in the two-storey building.
Partners from SCAS were in attendance, fortunately there were no casualties involved.
