Two vehicle RTC prompts multi-agency response
Emergency service colleagues worked together following a road traffic collision (RTC) in Freshwater, Isle of Wight, on Saturday (28 August).
Firefighters from Freshwater and Newport were called to Newport Road at 13:25 following the incident involving a car and a van.
The driver of the van, who had got herself out of her vehicle, received immediate emergency care from firefighters and ambulance colleagues.
Fire crews used cutting equipment to release the driver of the car.
Both casualties were handed into the care of paramedics and police were also on the scene.
The stop message was received at 14:16 and crews made the scene safe before leaving.
