Southampton crews put out fire in first-floor bedroom

St Mary’s and Hightown were called to a house in Lydgate Green, Southampton, after smoke was seen coming from an upstairs bedroom.
All persons were out of the house on our arrival and a fire was found in a first-floor bedroom.
Two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used to put the fire out and a ventilation fan was used to clear smoke.
Two people received immediate emergency care from firefighters and were handed over to colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service.
