Lymington kitchen blaze sees New Forest firefighters called out

Lymington, Brockenhurst and Beaulieu crews were sent to a kitchen fire at a residential property on Emsworth Road at 9:18 this morning.

Smoke was issuing upon arrival, before firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, jets and hose reels to extinguish the blaze.

Dorset and Wiltshire FRS appliances, which had been mobilised, were stood down.

HIWFRS initially assessed one male casualty suffering with smoke inhalation, before he was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics who treated him at the scene.

Firefighters returned to station following the stop message at 10:39.
