Hampshire and Berkshire crews tackle derelict bungalow fire

Fire crews were called to a bungalow fire on the Hampshire-Berkshire border on Sunday evening (2 Jan).

Tadley and Basingstoke firefighters were joined by Royal Berkshire FRS colleagues from Mortimer and Theale fire stations, having been mobilised to the incident at 21:58.

The structure was well-alight upon arrival and crews worked quickly to ensure the blaze didn’t spread to nearby trees or property.

The derelict property on Burghfield Road in Tadley was completely destroyed in the flames, which were extinguished using two jets and two hose reels.

Crews left the scene following the stop message at 00:42 (3 Jan).
