Five fire engines called to Totton house fire
Crews from St Mary’s, Redbridge, Beaulieu, Eastleigh and Hightown were called to a property in Kingsley Gardens where smoke was issuing from the roof, yesterday evening (28 October).
The fire originated in the kitchen of the terraced property and had spread to the loft via ducting.
Firefighters wore six sets of breathing apparatus, and used the aerial ladder platform, two jets, two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze, with ventilation fans in operation to clear smoke.
Community safety materials were distributed to neighbouring premises before crews returned to their stations at 19:18.
