Firefighters called to derelict pub blaze in Camberley

Crews from Yateley, Rushmoor and Hartley Wintney were assisted by Surrey firefighters in tackling a fire at a derelict pub building on Frogmore Road.

The initial call came into the HIWFRS Control Room at 1:06am, with flames reported to have been spotted.

The blaze in an adjoining outbuilding had caused 50% damage to the ground-floor.

Firefighters used two hose reel jets and one main jet to tackle the fire, whilst six sets of breathing apparatus were worn.

Crews dampened down the scene before conducting community safety visits to neighbouring properties.

Police were on the scene due to it being believed the fire was set deliberately.

The stop message came in at 3:05am, when crews returned to stations.
