Crews tackle Farnborough kitchen fire

Crews from Hampshire and Surrey worked together to tackle a kitchen fire that had spread to a first-floor bathroom.

Firefighters from Rushmoor, Fleet and Yateley were called to Osborne Road, Farnborough, at 18:47 on Saturday (20 November).

The aerial ladder platform from Basingstoke, and a command support vehicle from Eastleigh, also attended, along with crews from neighbouring Farnham and Camberley.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming from the three-storey property and firefighters wore breathing apparatus to put the fire out and check for spreading.

One man was handed into the care of paramedics.

The stop message was received at 21:29 and fire safety leaflets were delivered to neighbouring properties before crews left the scene.
