Four people rescued from Colden Common flat
Firefighters forced entry to a flat in Colden Common to rescue one woman and three children.
Crews from Eastleigh and Winchester were called to Badgers Bolt at 03:07 this morning (Saturday 20 November) and wore breathing apparatus to enter the smoke-logged flat.
Four people – including two toddlers and a baby – were evacuated and handed into the care of colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service.
The incident involved unattended cooking.
Fire safety advice was carried out at neighbouring properties before crews left the scene at 04:25.
