Crews respond to multi-vehicle crash on M3
The southbound carriageway of the M3 motorway was closed yesterday afternoon after a three-vehicle crash.
Firefighters from Hartley Wintney, Fleet, Rushmoor and Basingstoke were alerted to the incident near to Fleet Services shortly before 2pm.
Two cars and one car transporter were involved in the collision which fortunately left nobody trapped inside.
Firefighters provided Immediate Emergency Care to three casualties before cleaning up a small oil spillage.
The road was closed by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary officers as HIWFRS made the scene safe and cleared the carriageway of debris.
Crews returned to their stations around a quarter past two.
