Firefighters stem leaking fuel tanker which had overturned in Beaulieu

Firefighters from Beaulieu, Lymington, Redbridge and Romsey were alerted to a fuel tanker which left the road, was on its side and had begun to leak diesel on Warren Lane yesterday afternoon.

The driver who had injured his arms was treated by firefighters before being taken to hospital.

Specialist equipment was used to stem the leak and clean up the spillage.

The incident was handed over to the recovery team before HIWFRS returned to station at 16:30.
