Crews across county attend school building fire in Swanwick, Southampton
Firefighters from Hightown, Fareham, Botley, Portchester, St Mary’s, Hamble, Wickham and Eastleigh were sent to a residential school in Swanwick on Friday night (9th July) at 21:30 due to a large bin fire that spread to the nearby school building, involving both floors and the roof, approximately 20m by 10m.
Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 1 jet and 2 hose reels to put out the fire.
Police were informed and are at the scene.
HIWFRS left the area following the stop message at 00:08.
