Campervan fire spreads to roof space of town house

A campervan fire spread to the roof space of an adjacent building in Basingstoke in the early hours of this morning (22 April).

Crews from Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Odiham and Overton were called to Old Beggarwood Lane at 03:43 and found a campervan well-alight.

The fire had spread to an adjacent three-storey property and was extinguished using 12 breathing apparatus, three main jets and two hose reel jets. Basingstoke’s aerial ladder platform was used to inspect the roof space.

All persons were accounted for.
