Crews called to fire involving mowers and diesel

Firefighters from Rushmoor, Basingstoke, Fleet and the environmental protection unit from Alton, were called to Chandlers Lane, Yateley, at 09:03 today (23 April).

Two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one covering jet and an ultra high-pressure lance were used to tackle the fire, involving three shipping containers used to store garden machinery and diesel.

Colleagues from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service assisted and the Environment Agency will now dispose of the remaining diesel.

The stop message came in at 11:21.
