Bungalow destroyed in Shipton Bellinger blaze

Firefighters were alerted to a bungalow fire in Shipton Bellinger at around half one this afternoon.

Crews from Andover, Whitchurch, Eastleigh and Dorset & Wiltshire FRS were called to the scene on Parkhouse Road.

Paramedics treated a number of casualties for smoke inhalation before they were taken onto hospital.

Neighbouring properties were also affected by the fire which was tackled by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reel jets.

Firefighters left the scene and returned to station shortly before five o’clock.
