Royal Street, Sandown, United Kingdom
Crews from Shanklin, Ventnor, Ryde and Newport were called to a hotel in Royal Street, Sandown, at 14:45 on Wednesday (29 September).
A fire was located in a first-floor laundry room and firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to put it out. A ventilation fan was used to clear smoke.
One person was taken from the building by firefighters and was handed into the care of ambulance colleagues.
