Woman rescued from Lyndhurst flat following kitchen fire
Firefighters rescued a woman from a flat on Gosport Lane in Lyndhurst shortly after half two this afternoon.
Redbridge, Totton and St Mary’s crews arrived on the scene to find smoke issuing from the kitchen after food was left cooking on the hob.
A woman was rescued and given medical treatment before she was handed in the care of SCAS paramedics.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the small fire before conducting a home fire safety visit.
HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 15:23.
