Clarence Road, East Cowes,
A woman was rescued by firefighters from a first floor flat in East Cowes last night.
Crews were called to Clarence Road at 19:34 and found smoke coming from the building and a fire in the kitchen.
The woman was helped from the property and given immediate emergency care before being handed to paramedics.
Three fire engines and a command support vehicle attended.
