Vehicle blaze spreads to New Milton home

The HIWFRS Control Room received multiple calls to the fire on Lower Ashley Road at 1:45 this morning.

One vehicle was destroyed and another severely damaged in the blaze which spread to a nearby house.

On-call crews from New Milton, Lymington and DWFRS were on the scene in breathing apparatus tackling the fire with hose reels and jets.

The fire was extinguished with crews returning to station at 3:28.

One crew returned to the scene to conduct a reinspection, and fire investigation officers will attend this morning to establish the cause.
