Totton firefighters called out to late night car blaze on the beach

One Totton fire engine was called to a vehicle fire on Goatee Beach in Eling.

Due to the location of the car on the water line, firefighters weren’t able to access the vehicle to tackle the blaze.

The crew remained on the scene to monitor the fire, ensure it didn’t spread and waited for the water to extinguish the car.

The vehicle was destroyed in the fire before firefighters left the scene at 00:55.
