Strong winds from tornado cause damage in Aldershot

Firefighters were part of a joint response at an incident in Aldershot on Friday after a number of properties and trees were damaged in strong winds, which was reported to be as a result of a tornado.

Crews from Rushmoor and Surrey FRS were first called shortly after midday and worked closely with partner agencies to make the scene, which included damaged roofs and fallen trees, safe.
