Rope rescue firefighters bring injured man down from Portsmouth rooftop
Fire crews were called 12:22 yesterday afternoon (12 Jan) to a property on Festing Road in Southsea.
The casualty had fallen approximately 20 feet from a ladder, landing on a first-floor roof, suffering a leg injury.
Rope rescue specialists from Eastleigh Fire Station, along with crews from Southsea and Cosham, including the aerial ladder platform, were on the scene to assist South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.
The casualty was lowered to the ground by HIWFRS and passed into the care of paramedics.
Firefighters left the scene after the stop message at 13:23.
