Southampton crews were called to a fire in a derelict warehouse on Royal Crescent Road in Southampton shortly after 7pm.
The ground-floor fire was extinguished by firefighters in breathing apparatus using jets before clearing the smoke with ventilation fans.
Police were informed due to cause doubtful and for traffic management.
The stop message came in at 23:10.
