Southampton firefighters called to fire in which casualty suffered burns
Redbridge and St Mary’s fire crews were called at 18:23 yesterday evening (7 June) following a call from a carer reporting a fire in a flat on Sutherland Road, Southampton.
The fire was caused by dropped a cigarette, and was out on arrival.
HIWFRS firefighters provided Immediate Emergency Care to a female casualty and handed her over into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics, who treated the patient for burns before conveying her to hospital.
HIWFRS left the scene shortly after the stop message at 19:10.
