Rushmoor firefighters come to Lily’s rescue
Lucky Lily had a helping hand from firefighters after she got stuck down a drain.
The Jack Russell Terrier had decided to explore a drainage watercourse during a walk in Aldershot Park on Saturday afternoon but became disorientated and distressed.
Rushmoor’s White Watch came to Lily’s aid by lifting inspection chamber covers and using thermal imaging cameras to locate her. The plucky pup’s owner was then able to call her and Lily was safely reunited.
Firefighter Phil Wareham said: “A very relieved and grateful owner couldn’t have been happier with the crews’ efforts. Lily even enjoyed a pasta and meatballs hot pack, supplied by us, as a reward.”
