Roof destroyed in Ewshot house fire
Firefighters from across Hampshire and Surrey were called to the scene of a house fire in Ewshot near Farnham.
The roof and a significant part of the first-floor was involved in the blaze on Ewshot Lane.
Crews from Fleet, Rushmoor, Odiham, Hartley Wintney, Yateley, Basingstoke and colleagues from Surrey were first called at around half four yesterday afternoon.
Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters tackled the blaze using jets, hose reels and the aerial ladder.
Local residents were advised to avoid the area to allow access for emergency services vehicles.
The electricity board attended to isolate the power supply to the building.
Relief crews from Yateley, Bordon, Hightown, Fareham and Droxford attended the scene overnight after the incident had been scaled down, taking over from the firefighters who were first on the scene.
No one was injured in the blaze with the occupants of the house finding alternative accommodation.
The stop message came in shortly before 3am with one crew remaining in attendance this morning.
Fire investigation officers will attend the fireground later today to establish the cause of the blaze.
