New Forest firefighters free fingers from car bonnet
An on-call crew from Ringwood were called to a car park on Cott Lane in Burley on Saturday 5th August after a man had trapped his finger underneath the engine compartment hood of a car.
The finger was freed from the internal wiper mechanism by firefighters using specialist tools.
HIWFRS provided immediate emergency care to the casualty who took himself onto hospital.
The crew returned to station at half five, around an hour after they were first called out.
