Firefighters rescue four residents from Eastleigh flat fire

Crews from Eastleigh, St Mary’s and Burley were called at around half nine this evening following a third-floor lounge fire on Heinz Burt Close in Eastleigh.

Two residents were rescued from the three-storey building using ladders, with a further two led to safety by firefighters.

Fortunately there were no injuries following the incident with SCAS paramedics stood down.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using hose reels and jets before ventilating the building to clear smoke.

HIWFRS returned to station at around 11pm.​
