New Forest crews tackle kitchen blaze

On-call firefighters from across the New Forest were called to a cooking fire in Holbury.

Hardley, Beaulieu and Hythe crews were alerted shortly after 7pm to the blaze caused by hot oil in a pan on Studley Avenue.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a high pressure hose reel before ventilating the property and damping down.

One casualty was given immediate emergency care by firefighters before being passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.

The stop message came in at 20:03.
