Man with his arm stuck under a tractor wheel released by fire crews

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) firefighters were called at 12:24 to a smallholding in Kern Lane, Newchurch, on Tuesday (24 August) following reports that a man had his arm trapped under a tractor.
The tractor was stabilised with chocs and blocks and firefighters were able to release his arm from under the back wheel of the vehicle and provide immediate emergency care.
The man was handed over to the care of Isle of Wight Ambulance colleagues and taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Crews from Shanklin and Ryde attended and carried out a safe and well visit before leaving the scene.
