Large Shed Fire, Chandlers Ford – 24 July, 2024
At 17:31 on 24 July, crews were called to a large fire in an outbuilding. The accidental fire, which consumed the larger shed, spread to a smaller adjacent building, and also brought down power cables. SSE were on the scene, to restore power to those affected by the outage.
Fire fighters visited neighbouring properties offering information for those affected by the incident.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service confirms that the incident has been resolved.
The incident is now under investigation to ascertain the cause, but the accidental fire’s most likely cause is electrical.

A call came in at 17:31 about a large shed that was well alight, there is lots of smoke being reported in the area. Crews are attending the incident where the fire has now spread to a smaller outbuilding. SSE are on the scene of the incident to attended to power cables which have fallen due to the fire. Power is reportedly due to be restored to the area later this evening. There is currently 1(one) High rise jet in use with 2(two) jets supporting crews.
Residents in the vicinity are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
The public is advised to avoid the area to facilitate the movement of emergency vehicles.
