Isle of Wight firefighters tackle horse box and woodland blaze

A disused horse box was destroyed by fire, with an area of woodland also damaged.

The fire broke out at a stable in Pound Lane, Calbourne, at around 4.30pm with four fire engines and a water carrier quickly sent to the scene.

Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to tackle the fire, which had spread to a nearby copse.

The stop message was received at 7.53pm.
