Firefighters evacuate homes following partial collapse of house in Southsea

Three fire engines, a response support vehicle and the aerial ladder were sent to Eastney Road, Southsea, at 3.35pm on Sunday following the partial collapse of a house.

Firefighters evacuated people living in the homes either side of the affected property, but thankfully no one was trapped.

Our aerial ladder was used to inspect the damage from above. Damage included the partial collapse of the rear and side of one house, and signs of a partial collapse of one neighbouring property.

The incident was handed over to the occupiers and all crews had returned to station by 6.30pm.
