Isle of Wight crews cut man out of car following Bembridge road traffic collision

Ryde firefighters were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Steyne Road in Bembridge at 3.50pm yesterday (20 June).

One vehicle had gone into a hedge and the other was left blocking the road.

One casualty was extricated by HIWFRS firefighters before being handed over to air ambulance paramedics on the scene for an assessment.

Five walking wounded casualties were assessed by paramedics and firefighters.

Crews left the scene at 16:47 after they had made the scene safe.
