Horse safe in neigh-bouring field after rescue from swimming pool

Thanks to the rescue efforts of firefighters, Lola the horse is safely back on dry land after she fell into a swimming pool

Botley firefighters were first on scene in Swanmore after the call came in at around 10am on Christmas Eve that a female horse had fallen into a swimming pool.

On arrival they found Lola stood in the pool but unable to get out. The Manitou from Eastleigh and specialist Animal Rescue team from Winchester were called in to support the rescue.

A vet was on scene and sedated Lola so she could be lifted to safety. She is now safe and well and back in a neigh-bouring field
