Firefighters tackle a property fire on Ronsons Close, Cowes

The fire, which was in the roof of the property, had spread to neighbouring properties. Crews, wearing breathing apparatus and using multiple hose reel jets, have surrounded the fire and are now damping down the scene.
Around 30 firefighters are on scene.

Crews from Newport, Cowes, Ryde, Sandown and Freshwater, alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform, are at the scene of a property fire on Ronsons Close, Cowes.
There is lots of smoke so people are urged to drive carefully on local roads as visibility may be affected. Residents living in the area are advised to close their doors and windows.
The initial call came in shortly before 03:30 this morning.
