Firefighters support Coastguard teams in rescuing three casualties from mud

Firefighters assisted Coastguard teams with rescuing three casualties stuck in mud near Hayling Island last night.
Crews from Hayling Island and Cosham along with a specialist water rescue team were alerted to the incident on Marine Walk at around half eight yesterday evening.
Having worked to locate the casualties, firefighters supported the Coastguard by deploying mud paths.
The three individuals were winched free using the Coastguard helicopter before they were discharged at the scene by SCAS paramedics.
HIWFRS left the scene and returned to station at around half 10.
