Firefighters rescue man from Fareham flat fire
Crews from Fareham Fire Station were called shortly before 9pm last night to the blaze on Redlands Lane.
Upon entering the property, firefighters found a lot of thick smoke spread throughout the flat caused by a small kitchen fire, before rescuing the casualty.
South Central Ambulance Service paramedics were on the scene to treat the casualty for smoke inhalation and transport him onto hospital.
Crews ensured the fire, which had burnt itself out, was fully extinguished before using ventilation fans to clear the smoke which had caused minor damage to the property.
The stop message came in at 21:25 before firefighters commenced Community Safety activity, conducting Safe and Well visits at neighbouring addresses.
