Firefighters rescue dog trapped under a bridge

On the 20th anniversary of Hampshire and Isle of Wight’s Animal Rescue Advisors, a 2-year-old black Lab named Ludo got trapped under a bridge while chasing a ball.

The owners tried to rescue him but couldn’t succeed, so they requested help.

Hardley, Hythe, and Lyndhurst crews, along with Jim Green, an animal rescue specialist, attended the scene.

Firefighters used hydraulic spreaders to make space from the end of the bridge and spread the sleepers off to rescue the dog. Fortunately, Ludo was fit and well and was returned to his grateful owners after the successful rescue mission.
