Firefighters free Cookie the cavapoo from concrete block

Earlier this month, Fareham firefighters were called to rescue Cookie the dog after he had got his head stuck in a decorative garden breezeblock one night in Gosport.

Having been chasing a fox, the cavapoo, a crossbreed of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, was in distress at the situation he had found himself in.

Due to the design of the brick, and his awkward position, the on-call firefighters chip-ped away at the brick, making several careful technical cuts in order for it to crumble away and free Cookie safely!

Soon back on all four paws, and none the worse for his adventure, six-year-old Cookie proved that he is one tough cookie after all!
