Firefighters clean up superglue spillage at industrial estate

Firefighters from Redbridge, St Mary’s, Winchester, Cosham, Romsey and Beaulieu responded to a superglue spillage in Nursling Industrial Estate at 18:03. A pierced 1000L drum of superglue was moved to a safer location on site for ventilation whilst firefighters sealed nearby drainage systems to limit fluid entering the drains. The Environmental Agency worked with firefighters at the scene and confirmed the leak was not dangerous. The fluid was promptly cleaned up on site.
