Fire on Greatbridge Road in Romsey

Our crews have left the scene following a stop message at 08:38, but will be returning to conduct reinspections of the site.

We have scaled down our presence on scene, one crew is damping down. We anticipate a small presence for a number of hours.

Crews are tackling a blaze at the old World of Water site on Greatbridge Road in Romsey.

Multiple fire engines are in attendance from Romsey, Ringwood, Lyndhurst, St Marys, Eastleigh, Hightown, Fareham, along with crews from Dorset & Wiltshire fire service.

6 firefighters in breathing apparatus are using  jets to extinguish the fire.

Local residents are advised to remain indoors and keep windows and doors closed.
