Fire crews called to rescue drivers from flooding

Firefighters were called to Rod Lane, Ringwood, at just before 0700 on 16 January to rescue one female from the roof of her car.
The vehicle was stranded in deep water and two firefighters wearing water rescue kit waded in to escort her to safety.
Highways was requested to close the road and fire crews from Ringwood and Fordingbridge left shortly after the stop message was received at 0746.

Later that morning we were called to Ellingham Drove, Ellingham, after one person got stuck in their car in flood water at 0850.
The vehicle was towed out and the person was helped to safety before the arrival of fire crews.
One fire engine from Ringwood was on scene and firefighters requested Highways to close the road due to flooding.

  • But please call us back and let us know if you are no longer in trouble
